Iran - Tehran - 1994

I was born in Tehran in 1994. My fascination with photography began early, fueled by my parents' encouragement. At age five, I first encountered a camera: my father set it up on a tripod, showed me how to look through the viewfinder, and let me press the shutter. This moment sparked my lifelong love for capturing images. Equally passionate about photography, my mother used her Yashica camera to record our family's childhood memories. This environment nurtured my interest, and I started teaching myself photography. I was drawn to analog photography, which led me into the intricate world of film, printing, development, and photographic chemistry. The darkroom became my sanctuary, where photography transcended mere technique and became a profound sensory experience. Rather than following mainstream photography trends, exhibitions, or competitions, I devoted myself to the process and the art of photography. I enjoy street and documentary photography but have spent most of my time experimenting with innovative ideas in the darkroom. I consider myself a "nyctophile," someone who finds solace in the transition from light to the darkness of the darkroom, where I develop my photos. Academically, I pursued a bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Tehran, developing a keen interest in development economics and political economy. I continued my studies at the same university, earning a master's degree in British Studies focusing on political economy. Throughout my life, I’ve explored various fields alongside photography, including journalism, translation, content creation, publishing, and project management. These experiences have provided me with diverse perspectives and insights. Today, I balance my role as a product manager in the technology sector with my enduring passion for photography. Photography is an endless journey for me, leading to new discoveries with every frame.
